It’s that time of year again when the Holiday party invites are starting to pile up, and your iCal is cluttered with events. I know you have lots of swanky parties to choose from in the few weeks leading up to the holidays, but ladies may I suggest one where you get to sample hundreds of delicious cookies made with love by 200 of your closest soon-to-be friends?
The second annual Hip + Urban Girl Cookies and Champagne Holiday Party is happening soon and you should come. You know how much fun I had last year so dont miss out! Get your ticket and then we can start brainstorming yummy cookie ideas together.
It’s 3p.m. meaning the mid-day snack monster is about to be unleashed. This bag of Halloween chips at my desk, however, just won’t compare to all the amazing treats I sampled a few weeks back at Eat to The Beat culinary fundraiser for Breast Cancer. I’ll just have to look at the photos and remember each savory bite….
If you want to make yourself feel bad about that boring salad you had for lunch then check out morefrom the event here.
One of the most notable blogs in Toronto,The Hip & Urban Girl’s Guide, just celebrated their one year bloggiversary (that is, the one year anniversary of the birth of their website). To celebrate the momentous occasion, the duo Lisa and Wendy invited 200 of their closest friends to School in Liberty Village for some Birthday fun.
There was “after school snacks” like mini burgers, fruity drinks and delicious baked goods, music by DJ Mike Coombs, a painting station with Paintlounge, and a mobile beauty boost lounge for Joe Freshmakeup touch ups and hydration by Diet Coke.

June is the official kick-off month of summer and also an incredibly busy month party-wise for Toronto. From Luminato to Powerball and countless other food and music festivals, there is no shortage of celebrations for you to get out there an explore the city.
Probably the biggest party of the month is the Much Music Video Awards which will took place this past Sunday on Queen Street. To celebrate the start of the MMVA weekend H&M held a pre-party bash at their Queen Street West location Thursday night.
Guests got to enjoy plenty of beer, coolers and hors d’ouevers (who knew fried Mac & Cheese balls would be so addicting) while shopping the latest summer collection at 20% off (perfect to pick something up for one of the many MMVA-related parties going on all weekend).
The best part of the night was a special mini-concert one of my favourite Toronto bands, Dragonette.
Martina, Joel and Dan put on a great show for the shoppers, playing some of our favourites like Fire in Your News Shoes and Hello. We were definitely pumped up for some shopping and more music realted MMVA fun.
