Toronto Business Casual presents: The Original Cocktail Party

In an earlier post, I’ve mentioned  my recent fascination with professional networking events. They’ve helped me reconnect with the city, meet likeminded people and practice my schmoozing.

Up next on my social calendar is another night hosted by the networking groupToronto Business Casual. It’s called The Original Cocktail Party, and it will be taking place on the 24th of November at The Stirling Room in the Distillery District.

If you’re looking to make a go at your own professional networking goals before the year is through I would highly suggest coming out to the event. It will undoubtedly be filled with talented young minds making their way in the big city, and eager to share their success stories and career aspirations with others. Plus, there is a chance you could win a Stoli Vodka gift basket worth $200. Not a bad deal if you ask me!

Toronto Business Casual’s Cocktail Couture

Sinatra was crooning, the Stoli was flowing and the Toronto movers and shakers were rubbing shoulders upstairs in the city’s hottest Vodka bar on September 29th.

It was another sold out event for the city’s premiere networking group, Toronto Business Casual, at Pravda Vodka Bar on Wellington. Roughly 150 young urban professionals were on hand to swap names, stories and business cards as they enjoyed Manhattan-style cocktails courtesy of Stolichnaya® Vodka.

I especially enjoyed all those in attendance who ran with the 1960s Manhattan theme and used the occasion to bust out their best Don Draper and Joan Holloway-esque ensembles.

Toronto Business Casual offers busy professional in their 20s and 30s the chance to take a break from their 9 to 5 routine and have some fun with like-minded people. Everyone was laughing and socializing all night long, and I’m sure most of the first timers (myself included) will be back for TBC’s next event.

Let’s Bond over Cocktails

Lately, my favorite word is networking.

In my quest to meet new people, find more job opportunities and grow as a professional I’ve been attending a variety of networking events in the city. Through one of these events I met the creator of Toronto Business Casual, and was asked to join the promotional team for their next event.

On September 29th TBC will host Cocktail Couture: Manhattan at Pravda Vodka Bar in Toronto. Urban young professionals will be sipping on designer cocktails and grooving to the classic sounds of Sinatra as they meet their peers.

I’m excited to be a part of this very Mad Men-esque soiree, and I know i’ll be meeting a ton of go-getters.  If you’d like to check out the event or know someone who would I encourage you to spread the word.
